Tammy Stapp Chapman, 48, of Dawsonville, died Nov. 25, 2011.

Born Jan. 18, 1963, in Atlanta, she had lived in Dawson County for the past eight years, having moved from Riverdale.

Her father, John Perry Stapp; and a niece, E. Whitney Strickland, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her children, Kimberly Chapman of Murrayville, Shawn and Ashley Chapman of Dawsonville; mother and stepfather, Gail and Chubby Sheriff of Dawsonville; ex-husband, Tommy Chapman of Murrayville; sister, Vicki Strickland of Dawsonville; brother, Malachi Sheriff of Dawsonville; stepbrother and sister-in-law, Kevin and Kristy Sheriff of Dawsonville; grandchildren, Ethan, Ezekiel, Savannah and Rylan; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Nov. 28 at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Pastor Jamie Fortner officiating. Interment followed in the Stapp Family Cemetery in Rutledge.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
