Susan A. Miller, 44, of Dawsonville, died Friday, May 8, 2009.

Born in Cocoa Beach, Fla., she had lived in Dawson County for the past 13 years having moved from Port Orange, Fla.

Mrs. Miller attended North Georgia College and State University where she was working on a degree in education with the intent of becoming a history teacher.

She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church and had dedicated her life to being a loving wife and mother.

Survivors include her husband of 24 years, Dean Miller of Dawsonville; children, Brian Miller, Kristen Miller, both of Dawsonville; parents, Jim and Loretta Nelson of Largo, Fla.; sister, Teresa Campion of Tarpon Springs, Fla.; brothers, Steve Nelson of Largo, Fla., Greg Nelson of Tampa, Fla.; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were 11 a.m. May 12 at Messiah Lutheran Church with the Pastor Larry Zahn officiating.

Interment followed in Sawnee View Memorial Gardens in Cumming.

In lieu of flowers, donations were requested be made to Messiah Lutheran Church, 4765 Kimball Bridge Road, Alpharetta, GA 30005.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
