Stephen Brent Waters, 33, of Dahlonega, died April 9, 2013.

Born Oct. 25, 1979, Mr. Waters was a native of Dawson County and had lived in Lumpkin County for the past year.

He was employed in commercial construction for Buckhaven Construction.

An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing and spending time with his friends.

Stephen was a member of Goshen Baptist Church.

His grandfathers, Elmer Waters and Clifton Crane, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Darlene Waters and Glen Corindia of Dawsonville; father, Edwin Waters of Dawsonville; brother and sister-in-law, Derek and Megan Waters of Dawsonville; companion, Marci Langley of Dawsonville; daughter, Elana Carissa Adams of South Carolina; grandmothers, Ann Waters of Dawsonville, Bertha Mace of Dahlonega; aunts, Angela Crane, Jana Burnette, Virginia Orr, Barbara Waters; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. April 13, in the Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Rodney Pilcher officiating. Interment followed in the Mill Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations were requested made to the funeral home to assist with final expenses.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
