SSgt Mathew Logan Adams

SSgt Mathew Logan Adams, 1980-2008, on active duty with the U.S. Air Force at Shaw AFT, Sumter, S.C., died Sept. 11, 2008.

He served two tours of duty in Afghanistan, was stationed in Germany for five years and was on current assignment at Shaw AFB.

Survivors include his beloved wife, Jenny Adams of Sacramento, Calif.; children, Dulcie and Damian Adams; parents, Ed and Linda Adams of Cumming, Ed and Lisa McAdory of Dawsonville; grandmothers, Norine Adams of Grafton, Wis., Suzanne LaMonthe of Atlanta; various other relatives and his Air Force family also survive.

Funeral services were Tuesday, Sept. 16 at 11 a.m. in the chapel of McDonald and Son Funeral Home with the Rev. Steve Jackson officiating. Interment followed at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens.

A memorial service will be held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 17 at Shaw AFB in Sumter, S.C.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in memory of SSgt Mathew Logan Adams to New Song Community Church, 230 Elm Street, Cumming, GA 30040 or Forsyth County Fellowship of Christian Athletes.

McDonald and Son Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
