Shirley Ann Raridon, 78, of Joplin, died March 6, 2013.

Shirley was born July 25, 1934, in Colfax, Iowa, to the late Joseph Kvasny and Josephine Elizabeth Mudra Kvasny.

She had lived in the Joplin area since 2002, moving from Dawsonville.

She worked in computer programming most of her working life in Reno, Nev. and Dawsonville.

She also helped medical patients and veterans file for benefits that were unable to do so on their own. She was a faithful member of St. Paul's United Methodist Church.

In addition to her parents, her husband, Robert Raridon; daughter, Sylvia Beck; and two brothers, Frank Kvasny and Leland Kvasny, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her daughter, Sherry Cable and husband Brian of Carl Junction, Mo.; sister-in-law, Margaret Kvasny of Connersville, Ind.; granddaughters, Echo Mills of Carl Junction, Mo., Kayla Salitrero of Reno, Nev.; great-grandsons, Gavin Mills and Bodie Mills, both of Carl Junction, Mo. and Jayden Salitrero of Reno, Nev.; various other relatives also survive.

Graveside services were held at 1 p.m. March 16 at Union Cemetery in Newton, Iowa with the Rev. Bob Simon officiating.

Parker Mortuary of Joplin, Mo., was in charge of the arrangements.
