Sarah Elizabeth Grove, 95, of Dawsonville, died Nov. 8, 2017. Born Jan. 5, 1922 in Calhoun, Ill. to the late Allen and Aileen Bunch, she lived most of her life in Illinois before moving to Kentucky and then to Dawson County in 2001. In her early years Mrs. Grove was employed at Olney Shoe Factory. During WW II she moved to Long Beach, Calif. where she worked at Vultee Aircraft. She then moved to Evansville, Ind. where she worked at Briggs & Straton making aircraft parts. While in Illinois she served as the church pianist, choir director and taught Sunday School at Dundas United Methodist Church.
