Sara Ellen Fowler Holbrook, 80, of Cumming, died May 19, 2012.

Mrs. Holbrook was born on July 24, 1931, in Forsyth County.

Her husband of 59 years, Ivan F. Holbrook; and parents, W. Guy Fowler and Mamie Allen Fowler, preceded her in death.

She was a member of Pleasant Grove United Methodist Church in Cumming.

Survivors include her children, Janie Holbrook, Melinda and Travis Barrett, Andy and Joanne Holbrook, Lorri H. Sosebee; six grandchildren, Jessica and Matt Tanner, Emily Holbrook, Richard Barrett, Ellen Barrett, Kayla Sosebee and Luke Sosebee; four great-grandchildren, Ryleigh, Sadie, Olivia and Brooks; three brothers, Bob and Myra Fowler of Marietta, Bill and Frances Fowler of Carrollton and James and Pat Fowler of Powder Springs; aunt, Sarah A. Smith of Cumming; sisters-in-law, Hazel Holbrook and Ruth Holbrook; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. May 22 in the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Danny Bennett, Rick Price and Ted Miller officiating. Interment followed in Sawnee View Memorial Gardens.

Memorial donations were suggested to the Forsyth County Humane Society's No Kill Shelter, 4440 Keith Bridge Road, Cumming, GA 30041 and Halcyon Hospice Foundation, 1435 Haw Creek Circle, Suite 402, Cumming, GA 30040.

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
