Sandy Bascome Ford, 57, of Dawsonville, died March 9, 2013.

He was a loving husband, father and grandfather, who loved to hunt and be outdoors.

His brother, Danny Ford; and father, Bascome Ford, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his lovely wife of 38 years, Cyndi Ford of Dawsonville; sons, Eric and Katie Ford of Dahlonega, Jason Ford of Dawsonville; parents, Bascome Ford and Louise and Ed Nelson; brothers, Randy Ford, Bobby Nelson and Tony Nelson; sisters, Lynn Quick, Susan Ford, Bumdy Fleenor, Pam Mullinax and Donna Nelson; grandchildren, Alyssa Ford and Alana Ford; 15 nieces and nephews; various other relatives also survive.

A memorial service is scheduled for 2 p.m. March 17 with the Rev. Jim Dwiggins officiating at the McDonald and Son Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends from 1 p.m. until the time of service on March 17.

McDonald and Son Funeral Home of Cumming is in charge of the arrangements.
