Sandra Sue Ward, 65, of Dawsonville, died Thursday, Jan. 21, 2010.

Born July 16, 1944 to the late Watson and Zelia Dollar, she lived in Dawson County all but 13 years, when she lived in Jacksonville, Fla.

Mrs. Ward was a homemaker and a member of Bethel Baptist Church. A loving wife, mother and grandmother, she will be missed by all. Her sister, Kathleen Bailey; and brother, Leonard Dollar, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband of 49 years, Ron Ward of Dawsonville; sons and daughter-in-law, Ricky Ward of Hampton, Marty and Stefanie Ward, Scott Ward, all of Dawsonville; sisters and brother-in-law, Inez and Loy Waters of Jackson, Evelyn Meadows of Macon; grandchildren, Stephanie Ward, Brittany Ward, Jacob Ward, Ronnie Ward, Jeri Ward, Candice Ward; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Jan. 24 at Bethel Baptist Church with the Revs. Stephen Davis and Leonard W. Ridings officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
