Sally Mae Gaddis, 92, of Dawsonville, died Wednesday, Nov. 18, 2009.

  

Born Aug. 19, 1917 to the late Floyd and Addie Conner, Mrs. Gaddis lived most of her life in Dawson County.

  

A homemaker at her death, she was employed for many years in the poultry industry. She was a member of Piedmont United Methodist Church.

  

Her husband, Oscar Gaddis and several brothers and sisters, preceded her in death.

  

Survivors include her children, Virginia and Pink Townley of Oakwood, Jeannette Gilreath of Gainesville, Gene and Gloria Gaddis of Phoenix City, Ala., Judy West, Ann and Sammy Horner, all of Dawsonville; grandchildren, Chris Townley, Lynn and Jeff King, Ronnie and Betsy Smith, Keith and Pam Dohney, Margaret and Doug Duncan, Shelia and Richard Hammock, Denise and Billy Wehunt, Jon Chester; 18 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; various other relatives also survive.

  

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov.20 at the Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Harold Evans, Joey Gilbert and Gary Coffey officiating. Interment followed in the Concord Baptist Church Cemetery.

  

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
