Ruth Gazaway Ledford, 80, of Cumming, died Sunday, March 21, 2010.

She was a member Concord Baptist Church and retired from Kennestone Hospital in Marietta.

Mrs. Ledford was a member of the Silver Belles of Silver City Chapter of the Red Hat Society, the Forsyth County Senior Center and the Oasis Choir.

Her brother, Wesley Gazaway, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her children, Corby and Denise Ledford of Dawsonville, Glennis and Blaine Buice of Cumming; brothers and sisters-in-law, J.C. and Bertha Gazaway of Powder Springs, Richard and Winifred Gazaway of Marietta, Clifton and Mary Gazaway of Taylor, S.C.; two grandchildren, Amelia Kaylin and Kelsey Leigh Ledford; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 4 p.m. Wednesday, March 24 at Concord Baptist Church with the remains placed in state at 2 p.m. Drs. Rubin Smith, Lester Cooper and the Pastor Tom Scaife will officiate. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial may be made to Concord Baptist Church Building Fund, 6905 Concord Road, Cumming, GA 30028.
