Ruby Mae Hamby, 79, of Cumming, died Monday, July 13, 2009.

She was a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church and was preceded in death by her father, John Elgbert Bolton; mother, Alma Bolton; brothers, James and Bobby Bolton.

She was the loving wife of Manuard Linzy Hamby.

Survivors include her husband of 64 years, Manuard Linzy Hamby; sons and daughters-in-law, Clendon and Betty Hamby, Tommy and Delores Hamby, Terry Joe and Vickie Hamby; daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Greg Wallis; nine grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; brothers and sister-in-law, Talmadge and Eulene Bolton and Bill Bolton; sisters and brother-in-law, Betty Glover and the late Jimmy Glover, Sara and Bob Cloud; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Thursday, July 16 at Oak Grove Baptist Church with the Revs. Danny Bennett, John Lummus, Garry English, Tim Hamby, Toby Hamby and Larmon Barron officiating.

Interment followed at Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Cumming.

Ingram Funeral Home & Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
