Ruby June Atkinson

Ruby June Atkinson, 91, of Cumming, died Dec. 21, 2016.

She was born in 1925, to the late Amos and Minnie Brockett. Ruby was a member of Christ Fellowship Church in Dawsonville and volunteered at Northside Hospital Forsyth and was active at the Forsyth County Senior Center. In addition to her parents, her loving husband, Fred Atkinson, also preceded her in death.

Survivors include her children, Barbara and Charles Moore, Connie and David Andrew, all of Cumming; grandchildren, Rick and Alicia Byrd of Houschton, Andrea and Travis Rhoads of Roswell, Alisa and Tom Bowie of Lawrenceville, Tommy and Lori Andrew, April and Jon Ryan, all of Cumming; great-grandchildren, Johnny and Ellie Andrew, Lauren and Alex Andrew, Jacob and Natalie Ryan, all of Cumming, Ethan and Rory Byrd of Houschton, Anniston Rhoads of Roswell; great-great-grandchildren, Josiah Andrew of Cumming; brothers and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Marry Brockett of Illinois, Charles Brockett of Illinois, Art Brockett of Sparta, Tenn.; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Dec. 27 in the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with the Pastor Todd Smith officiating. Interment was held at 1 p.m. at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Lawrenceville.
Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
