Ruby G. Nelson, 85, of Cumming, died July 25, 2014.

Her great-granddaughter, Cheyenne Heard, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her daughter, Brenda Heard of Cumming; son-in-law, Gary Spence of Cumming; grandsons, Calvin and Beverly Heard of Cumming, Jason and Debra Heard of Ball Ground; great-grandchildren, Shelby Smith and Sara Heard; sisters and brothers, Ineal Milford, Bobbie and J.W. Howard, J.C. and Reita Gilleland, all of Cumming, Mazelle and Charles Evans of Gainesville; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. July 27 in the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Harold Bottoms officiating. Entombment followed at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, donations were requested made to the: American Diabetes Association, 233 Peachtree Street, Suite 2225, Atlanta, GA 30303.

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
