Ruby Bolton Watts, 82, of Dawsonville, died Aug. 28, 2012.

Born May 24, 1930 in Lumpkin County to the late James Sanders and Velma Rice, she lived most of her life in Dawson County.

Mrs. Watts was formerly employed by Potter and Brumfield, after which she was employed by Peachtree Doors until her retirement.

She was a member of Coal Mountain Baptist Church.

Her husbands, Major Bolton and Joseph "Joe" Watts; daughter, Carol Bolton; brothers, Johnny Rice, Tommy Rice, Frank Rice and Robert Rice, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her children, Sue McBrayer, Carl and Jean Bolton, Helen Swafford, James Bolton, John and Kris Bolton, Rubyanne and Tracy Lingerfelt, all of Dawsonville; sisters and brother-in-law, Gracie Lou Walls, Annie Sue and Jimmy Chester, both of Dawsonville; brothers and sisters-in-law, William and Evelyn Rice, Betty Rice, Benny Joe and Carolyn Rice, Herman and Vondell Rice, Billy and Teresa Rice, all of Dawsonville; 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Aug. 30 in the Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Junior Evans and Jimmy Chester officiating. Interment followed in Moss Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, donations were requested to help offset final expenses.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
