Born May 5, 1943 to the late Hoyt and Elda Lance, Mr. Lance also lived a number of years in Lumpkin County.
Jeep possessed a great passion for gardening and in his younger years he enjoyed the time he spent making moonshine. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and brother; and his family was his life.
His wife, Charlene Lance; sister, Gail Lance; and brothers, Jeff Lance and Nickey Lance, also preceded him in death.
Survivors include his children, Jeff and Marie Lance, Troy Bridges, all of Dahlonega, Denise and Lloyd Chester of Dawsonville, Donna and Daniel Turner of Cumming; grandchildren, Jesse Lance, Jacob Lance, Josie Lance, Jade Jordan, Kaleb Jordan, Joseph and Courtney Edgil, Cheyenne Chester, Danielle Turner, Charity Bridges, Autumn Bridges; great-grandchildren, Rylee Edgil, Kovi Edgil; sisters and brother-in-law, Ellen Lance of Dahlonega, Torina Walls and Wyatt Bales of Dawsonville, Wanda Britt of Winder; brother and sister-in-law, Tim Lance and Betty Stripland of Cumming; various other relatives also survive.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. Nov. 7 in the Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Lyman Caldwell and Lloyd Chester officiating. Interment followed in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Dahlonega.
Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
