Rosa Pearl Bell Stallworth Willis, died Jan. 6, 2013.

Born on March 31, 1930, in Danville, to the late Reuben Bennett and Daisy Bond Bell, Pearl had celebrated 82 birthdays.

A devout Christian, she was a member for many years of the Greenforest Baptist Church and then the Pinecrest Presbyterian Church.

She spent her childhood years in Hogansville and her adult years in Decatur, Stone Mountain, Big Canoe and in Flat Rock, N.C.

She was a resident of the Canton Nursing Center during the final months of her life, and her family wishes to thank the caring staff there.

Pearl's family and friends will surely miss her. She was a kind and loving mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, cousin, nurse and friend.

Her son, James Owen Stallworth Jr.; second husband, John G. Willis Sr.; first husband, James O. Stallworth Sr.; three sisters; three brothers; and her parents, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her daughter, Linda Stallworth and Max Williams; sister, Jessie Bell and Bobby Gore; granddaughter, Laura Williams and Scott Novak; grandson, Max Brenton and Ginger Williams; great-granddaughter, Samantha Lin Novak; various other relatives also survive.

A private (immediate family only) memorial service will be held at a future date.

In lieu of flowers, it was Pearl's wishes that memorial contributions be made to the general fund of the Pinecrest Presbyterian Church, 1790 Greenville Hwy., Flat Rock, N.C. 28731.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville is in charge of the arrangements.
