Ronnie Tar Baby Voyles

Ronnie “Tar Baby” Voyles, 54, of Marble Hill, died Sunday, May 10, 2009.

  

A native of Dawson County, he had lived in Pickens County for over 20 years.

  

Mr. Voyles owned and operated "The Table Maker," which made wooden tables.

  

His father, Roy "Shorty" Voyles; and, brothers, Roger Voyles and Tony Voyles preceded him in death.

  

Survivors include his mother, Mary Voyles of Dawsonville; sisters, Carolyn Loggins of Indiana, Katherine Page of Richmond, Va., Peggy Dacus, Lisa Long, both of Dawsonville; brother, Gary Voyles of Dawsonville; various other relatives also survive.

  

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, May 14 at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Keith Poss officiating.

  

Interment will follow in the Dawsonville Memorial Gardens.

  

The family will receive friends after 4 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

  

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville is in charge of the arrangements.
