Robert T. "Bobby" Jones, 63, of Dawsonville, died Sunday, July 20, 2008 at his residence following a period of declining health.

Born in Fulton County, he had lived in Dawson County for over 10 years, having moved from Douglasville. Mr. Jones was a retired manager with the Atlanta Journal and Constitution and was preceded in death by his parents, Otis and Ruby Jones; sister, Linda Geraldine Jones.

Survivors include his sons, Brent Jones of Atlanta, Robert T. "Timmy" Jones of Austell; sister, Sandra Bryan of Dawsonville; brothers, Johnny Jones of Lilburn, Harold Jones of Austell, Gene Brooks of Woodstock; special friends, Stephanie and Tony Ware of Dallas; various other relatives also survive.

Memorial services will be Saturday, Aug. 2, 2008 at 11 a.m. at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mike Owens officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
