Robert Mack Lady, Sr., 83, of Cumming, died Thursday, July 17, 2008.

 

He was an Eagle Scout in Kansas City, Mo. and Scout Leader for Troop 126 in Cumming and also a Mason in the Chamblee Lodge #444 and Shriner in the Yaarab Temple.

   

Mr. Lady was an Emergency Medical Technician and served as EMA Director for Forsyth County for 29 years.

 

He attended Georgia Tech and received a Bachelors and Masters Degree in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering from the University of Phoenix.

 

Survivors include his wife, Caroline Grant Lady; son, Robert M. Lady, Jr. and his wife, Angelia K. Lady, all of Cumming; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Bettie and Fred Hagan of Alpharetta; beloved pets, Cheyenne and Snow Baby; various other relatives also survive.

 

Funeral services were Sunday, July 20 at 2:30 p.m. at the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with Revs. Gerald Blackburn, Lamar Hardwick and Mayor Ford Gravitt officiating. Interment followed at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens.

 

In lieu of flowers, the family requested that donations be made to Embracing Hospice House, 8013 Majors Road, Cumming, GA 30041.

 

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
