Robert Harold Hembree, 59, of Dawsonville, died Feb. 10, 2017.

Born Feb. 27, 1957 in Blue Ridge, he was preceded in death by his father, Raleigh H. Hembree.

Hembree resided many years in Monterrey and Carmel, Calif., where he loved cruising on his motorcycle along the coastal highway.

He was a self-employed contractor specializing in construction and remodeling. A work-related accident brought him to Dawsonville to live for the past nine years.

Survivors include his mother, Marcella Hembree Nichelson of Dawsonville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Shirley and Jerry Williams of Blue Ridge, Cindy and James Crump of Dahlonega, Marilyn Godfrey of Dawsonville; six nieces and nephews and eleven great-nieces and nephews also survive.

Family and friends are invited to a graveside memorial service at Macedonia Church of Christ Cemetery in Blue Ridge on March 4, 2017 at 12 p.m. Butch Jones will officiate.
