Robert Eugene Bearden, 64, of Sparta, died March 9, 2015.

Robert was of the Baptist faith.

His parents, William and Mabel Bearden; four brothers and one sister, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Sheila Bearden; children, Shane and Diane Bearden of Dawsonville, Chad and Naomi Bearden of New Bern, N.C.; brother, Howard Bearden of Thomaston; sister, Barbara Cassai of Sparta; six grandchildren; one great-grandchild; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. March 13 in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with the Rev. Tom Stradley and the Dr. Jimmy Orr officiating. Interment followed at Macedonia Memorial Park Cemetery.

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
