Robert E. Lee, 96, of Dawson County, died Aug. 6, 2016.

He was married for 76 years in June to his wife, Voncile Tinsley Lee.

Robert was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church.

His two brothers, Thad and Jona; four sisters, Mary, Zona, Margaret and Oma; and two grandsons, Mickey Woods and Samuel Henderson, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Voncile Lee; son and daughter-in-law, Danny and Reginia Lee; daughter, Shirley Moore; daughter and son-in-law, Joyce and Jimmy Henderson of Dawsonville; daughter and son-in-law, Evelyn and Jerry Woods of Cumming; eight grandchildren, Caroline Gaddis, Jeffery Woods, Cindy Burtz, Brandi Treadway, Andrew Henderson, John Lee, Jilly Tinsley, Kate Hornsey; 11 great-grandchildren; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. Aug. 8 in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with the Revs. Harold Bottoms and Scott Sorrells officiating. Interment followed at Sawnee View Gardens.

While flowers were accepted, donations were requested made to Zion Hill Baptist Church.

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
