Robert “Bruz” Brookshire, 49, of Dacula, died Nov. 14, 2018.

Mr. Brookshire was born Aug.13, 1969. For a number of years he coached youth football in Dacula.  A loving and devoted father, he was also an avid hunter and outdoorsman. 

His brother, Troy Shane Brookshire; aunt, Sheila Lockridge; and uncle, Danny Sheffield, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Michelle Brookshire of Canon; children, Robert Cade Brookshire, Michael Bo Brookshire, Carli Wheeler; mother, Linda Brookshire of Winder; father, Ray Brookshire of Ranger; brothers and sister in law, Steve Brookshire of Ranger, GA, Wesley and Tracey Brookshire of Colorado; grandmother, Floy Sheffield of Winder; nieces, Abbey, Maddy, Vanessa; lifelong friend and hunting buddy, Dorsey Forsyth of Cumming; a number of special cousins; various other relatives also survive.

Mr. Brookshire will be laid to rest in his family’s plot at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery in Dawsonville.  A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to help offset final expenses.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
