Robert Bobby Burns

Robert "Bobby" Burns, 29, of Cumming, died Sept. 17, 2011.

He was a soldier in the 3rd Battalion, 69th Armor Regiment at Fort Stewart in Savannah and was proud to be in the military.

Bobby also loved his boys, family and friends.

His younger brother, Daniel Martin Burns, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Melissa Burns; father, Gregory Burns; mothers, Gretchen Burns and Michelle Burns; children, Daniel Thomas Burns, Samuel Eli Burns; cousins, Jason Burns, Lindsey Thomas, Jeffrey Burns and Hannah Young; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 11:30 a.m. Sept. 24 in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donations were requested made to Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS, 66675.

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
