Robert Bob Couch

Robert "Bob" Couch, 73, of Dawsonville, died Sept. 15, 2011.

Born Jan. 21, 1938 to the late Robert Sr. and Endia Martha Couch, he had been a resident of Dawsonville for the past nine years, having moved from Hall County.

Mr. Couch was a member of Liberty Baptist Church and had served as vice president for Dawson County Veterans Affairs, ambassador the chamber of commerce, pole worker for elections and was active with both KARE for Kids and Relay for Life.

He was also an avid collector of model railroads and enjoyed war reenactments.

His sisters, Billie Cain and Mamie Ledford, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife, Inez Couch of Dawsonville; sons and daughters-in-law, Robb and Sheri Couch, Terry and Lisa Couch, all of Orlando, Fla., grandchildren, Allison Couch, Adam Couch; sisters, Mary Fowler of Brooksville, Fla., Faye Allen of Burgaw, N.C.; various other relatives also survive.

Memorial services were held at 3 p.m. Sept. 17 at the Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Dennis Bottoms and Truett Proctor officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Veterans Affairs of Dawson County, 200 Kathy Lane, Dawsonville, GA 30534.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
