Ricky Bragg, 48, of Dawsonville, died July 27, 2011.

Born Jan. 21, 1963, Ricky was a native of Atlanta, but had lived in Dawson County for a number of years.

A truck driver for 23 years, he was currently employed by Lafarge.

A loving husband, father and pawpaw, he was a member of Grace and Truth Church.

His father, Junior Bragg, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his wife of 25 years, Jana Bragg of Dawsonville; daughters and son-in-law, Tasha and Robert Curry of Cumming, Jessica Bragg of Dawsonville; mother, Shirley Bragg of Thomaston; sister, Lisa Bragg of Thomaston; brothers and sisters-in-law, Ed and Cheryl Bragg, Robert Bragg, James and Cyndi Bragg, all of Thomaston; grandchildren, Leah Curry, Landon Curry; uncle, Jerry Keye; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. July 30 at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Jimmy and Linda Manders officiating. Interment followed in Dawsonville Memorial Gardens.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
