Richard L. Setterberg, 82, of Dawsonville, died Dec. 11, 2013.

Born May 15, 1931 in Minneapolis, Minn., to the late Chester and Elsie Setterberg, he had lived in Dawson County since 1994 having moved from Roswell. Mr. Setterberg spent his entire working career in the automobile industry and retired as Regional Sales Manager for Mercedes Benz in 1989. He possessed a great love for the outdoors, especially fishing.

Richard was a U.S. Marine Corps veteran and was a member of Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Kathleen Prew Setterberg of Dawsonville; children, Mike and Joanna Setterberg of Arlington, Wash., Alison and David Jett of Dawsonville; grandchildren, Zachary Setterberg, Kaitlyn Setterberg, Haley Jett and Lindsay Jett; various other relatives also survive.

A memorial mass was held at 11 a.m. Dec. 16 at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church with the Fr. Brian Higgins officiating. Entombment services were held at 11 a.m. Dec. 17 at the Georgia National Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations were requested made to Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church Building Fund, 991 Kilough Church Road, Dawsonville, GA 30534.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
