Rex Carlyle, 57, of Forsyth County, died June 10, 2014.

He retired from Peachtree Doors and Windows after 28 years of service.

He enjoyed coaching girls' softball and had won multiple championships.

Rex liked restoring old cars, especially his 1957 Chevrolet.

His father, Gene Carlyle, preceded him in death.

Survivors include his mother, Margaret Carlyle of Forsyth County; mother of his children, Shelia Lachner of Gainesville; children, Jeremy and Crystal Carlyle, Crystal Carlyle, all of Gainesville, Josh Carlyle and fiancée Stephanie Smith of Grayson; sister and brother-in-law, Tina and Gaspare Badalament of Gainesville; grandchildren, Alexis Carlyle and Wyatt Rex Carlyle; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. June 12 in the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Michael Grizzle and Joey Grizzle officiating. Interment followed at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens.

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
