Rev. Glyn Holbert Brannon, 79, of Cumming, died Tuesday, Dec. 18, 2008.

  

He was preceded in death by his parents, Macon and Flossie Brannon; son, Timothy Eugene Brannon.

  

Rev. Brannon was a member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church. He served as pastor at Five Star Baptist Church in Alpharetta, North Roswell Baptist Church in Roswell and interim pastor at Holcomb Bridge Baptist Church in Roswell and Mt. Calvary Baptist Church in Cumming.

  

Survivors include his wife of 29 years, Mary Lou Brannon; son and daughter-in-law, David and Nancy Brannon of Cumming; daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley and Richard Rider, Trisha and Ray Gober, all of Cumming; stepsons, Terry and Connie Lee, David and Charlotte Lee, all of Cumming, Joey and Mary Lee, Calvin Price, all of Canton, Ricky and Amy Price of Braselton; stepdaughter, Marsha Ann Roughton of Canton; brothers, Herbert Brannon of Cumming, James Brannon of Ballground, Atward Brannon of Atlanta; sister and brother-in-law, Jeanette and Junior Woodall of Ballground; sisters-in-law, Lorene and Jimmy Lord of Thomaston, Jane and Rodney Padgett of Dawsonville, Sylvia Kimbrell, Gladys Weaver, Betty Treadaway, all of Woodstock; 22 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; various other relatives also survive.

  

Funeral services were Sunday, Dec. 21 at 2:30 p.m. at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church with the Revs. Ray Gober and Tony Roughton officiating.

  

Interment followed at Alpharetta City Cemetery.

  

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
