Reda Kay House, 65, of Dawsonville, died Oct. 5, 2013.

Born Feb. 25, 1958 in Hall County, she lived most of her life in Dawson County. A 1976 graduate of Gainesville High School, Reda earned her degree in nursing from Lanier Tech and worked most of her career as a healthcare professional at the area hospitals and for more than 10 years with Magellan Health Services.

She attended Kilough Church by the Lake.

Her father, Clyde Strickland, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her mother, Elizabeth Strickland of Gainesville; brothers, Mitchell Strickland, Johnny Strickland, Jimmy Strickland, all of Gainesville; special family, Mae Powell, Michael Powell and Michelle Evans, Kim Wagner, Melody Ballew; special nephew, Nicholas Wagner; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Oct. 9, in the Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. James Kanaday and Todd McGee officiating. Interment will follow in the Antioch Cemetery.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
