Rebecca Joyce Holbrooks, 77, of Dawsonville, died Dec. 31, 2013.

Born in Atlanta, she was the daughter of Fred and Janie Kinnard.

Her brother, Billy Kinnard, preceded her in death.

She was a loving sister, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, and will be greatly missed by her family and many friends.

Survivors include her husband of 57 years, James Robert Holbrooks of Dawsonville; sons, Jack Holbrooks, Danny and Judy Holbrooks, all of Dawsonville, Timothy Wayne and Cindy Holbrooks of Murrayville; sister, Betty Denmark of Hiram; brother, Ronald Kinnard of Rootville; grandson, Jeremy Leigh Holbrooks of Dahlonega; granddaughter, Angelique Holbrooks of Dawsonville; granddaughter, Shannon Holbrooks of Dawsonville; great-grandsons, Timothy Earl and Trevor James Holbrooks of Cumming; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Jan. 4 with the Rev. Larry Eubanks officiating. Interment followed at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens.

Dahlonega Funeral Home of Dahlonega was in charge of the arrangements.
