Rebecca J. Burruss, 69, of Cumming, died Oct. 7, 2011.

Her parents, Brooks and Emma Ava Johnson, preceded her in death.

She was a member of Coal Mountain Baptist Church and was a retired paraprofessional with the Forsyth County Board of Education.

Survivors include her husband, R. Billy Burruss of Cumming; daughter and son-in-law, Ruth and Kenny LeBlanc of Kennesaw; son, Jonathan Brooks Burruss of Cumming; grandchildren, Joshua, Bryson and Emma LeBlanc; sisters and brothers-in-law, Patricia Ann Johnson of Dawsonville, Estelle and Bobby Dobbs of Buford, Florence and Butch Norris of Atlanta; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Larry and Mary Burruss, Dot Burruss, Lucille and Buddy Phillips, Ineal and Ray Burton, Kathleen and Harold Pruitt, Vertie Lee Burruss, Edna Burruss, all of Cumming, Betty and Cliff Strickland of Gainesville; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Oct. 9 at Coal Mountain Baptist Church with Dr. Randy Smith officiating. Interment followed in Coal Mountain Cemetery.

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
