Phyllis Norrell Burruss, 58, of Cumming, died Dec. 26, 2013.

She was a member of Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church.

Phyllis was a fantastic mother and loving Nana. She loved to cook and socialize with family and friends.

Her father, Willard Norrell; grandson, Max Elzey; father-in-law and mother-in-law, John and Frances Burruss, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband of 41 years, Gary Harold Burruss of Cumming; daughters and sons-in-law, Amanda and Nathan Elzey, Amy and Drew Jenkins, all of Cumming; grandson, Mason Elzey; mother, Emma Jo Norrell of Free Home; brother and sister-in-law, Johnny and Edith Norrell of Cumming; sisters and brother-in-law, Donna Norrell of Free Home, Penny and Phil Covington of Ball Ground, Loretta Green of Cumming; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Dec. 29 at Mt. Pisgah Baptist Church with the Revs. Michael Cantrell, Randy Richards and Ricky Byrd officiating. Interment followed at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens.

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
