Peter "Pete" Paul Martin, 49, of Forsyth County, died April 9, 2015.

He was born May 13, 1965 in Pittsburgh, Penn., to the late Theodore Martin and Margaret "Peg" Martin.

Upon his graduation from high school in 1983 he served in the United States Army until 1986, and then served in the United States Navy, both of which he was honorably discharged.

At the time of his death, Martin was employed by Atlanta Courier in Atlanta.

His brother, Jonathan Martin of Pittsburgh, Pa., preceded him in death.

Survivors include his brothers, Thomas Martin of Dahlonega, Theodore and Tracy Martin of Cumming; nephews, Garrett and Kayleigh Martin of Cumming, Zachary Martin, U.S. Air Force, Dylan Martin of Cumming; niece, Brooke Martin of Cumming; great-nephew, Logan Martin of Dahlonega; aunt, Carol Etzrodt of Lower Burrell, Pa.; cousins, Cheryl and Kenny Barner, David Etzrodt, all of Natrona Heights, Pa., Debbie and Mark Davis of Sarver, Pa.; various other relatives also survive.

The family received friends from 5 to 8 p.m. April 15 at the funeral home.

Martin was laid to rest with full military honors at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton.

In lieu of flowers, donations were requested made to the Forsyth County Humane Society.

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
