Myrtle May Mooney, 86, of Flowery Branch, died Feb. 18, 2015.
Born Dec. 19, 1928, she was a member of Corinth Baptist Church.
Her parents, Jeff and Lona Mooney; her sister, Betty Lee Mooney ; and half-brothers, and half-sisters, preceded her in death.
Myrtle loved the Lord and her family with her full heart. Her humble, gentle spirit was an inspiration to all who knew her. She loved gardening and quilting. Even though she never had her own children, she was a momma and grandma to many. She was especially close to her great nieces, Cherica Voyles, Carleigh Evans; great-nephew, Saun Voyles and great-niece, Lilliana Amedu.
Survivors include her brothers, Marcus Mooney, Clayton Mooney; sister, Frances Mooney Garrett; sister-in-law, Dora Mae Mooney; various other relatives also survive.
Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Feb. 22 in the chapel of Ingram Funeral Home with the Revs. Dan Henderson and Ruel Martin officiating. Interment followed in Shady Grove Cemetery.
Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
