Myrtle Lois Guest, 78, of Dawsonville, died Sept. 26, 2011.

Born June 2, 1933 in Lithia Springs to the late Henry and Cora Belle Cochran, she had lived in Dawson County for more than 30 years having moved from Forsyth County.

She retired as an analyst for the IRS after 30 years of service.

Myrtle Lois enjoyed world travels, helping those in need and was a member of Kilough Church by the Lake,

Her husbands, Bobby Lee Hawkins and Travis T. Guest, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her daughters, Pat Fishburn of Dawsonville, Debbie Guest, Donna Ellis, both of Fayetteville; sister, Mary Ellen Ray of Suwanee; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; various other relatives also survive.

Memorial services were held at 2 p.m. Oct. 2 at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Dr. Jeff Burrell and the Rev. Gerald Edmondson officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Gracie Hill Scholarship Fund, c/o Bank of the Ozarks, 6639 Hwy. 53 East, Dawsonville, GA 30534.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
