Myrtle Elizabeth Martin, 93, of Cumming, died Nov. 15, 2012.

She was a member of Zion Hill Baptist Church in Gainesville.

Her sons, Edward and William James Bell; sons-in-law, Jay Smith Jr., Frank Delong, Barton Chambers; half-sister, Sybil Anderson; half-brothers, Dennis Shockley, Eugene Shockley and J.C. Shockley, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her children, Geraldine DeLong of Dacula; Katherine Chambers of North Carolina; Mildred Carter of Texas, Bonnie Smith, Fletcher and Linda Bell, Patricia and Larry Hall, all of Cumming, Jeanette Crawford of Athens, Dottie Kay of Gainesville, Roger Bell; half-sisters, Athana Vester of Clermont, Betty Jones of South Carolina; half-brother, Homer Shockley of Lula; 38 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; best friend, Willene White of Cumming; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Nov. 18 at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church with the Revs. Jeff Wilkie and Scott Sorrells officiating. Interment followed at Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery.

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
