Morris Pruett, 62, of Dawsonville, died Dec. 11, 2011.

Born Feb. 2, 1949 to the late Howard and Kizzie Mae Pruett, he was a lifelong resident of Dawsonville.

Mr. Pruett retired as a construction coordinator with Georgia Power after 41 years of service.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing golf and possessed a special love for travel.

Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Patricia Pruett of Dawsonville; sons and daughters-in-law, Scott and Venus Pruett, Adam and Kelly Pruett, all of Dawsonville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Doris Wright of Ellijay, Lois and Larry Byers of Dahlonega, Judy Truelove, Ellen and Andy Adams, all of Dawsonville; grandchildren, Erin Pruett, Ryane Pruett, Hannah Pruett, Peyton Pruett, Khloe Pruett; and a great-grandson, Evan Anderson; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Dec. 14 in the Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Clyde Boling and David Smith officiating. Interment will follow in the Dawsonville Memorial Gardens.
