Millie Dean Watson, 86, of Gainesville, died Aug. 19, 2016.

Millie loved her family and her children and, most especially, she loved her Lord.

She was saved at the age of 10 and has been a member of Silver Shoals Baptist Church for the past 76 years.

Her husband, Hugh Taylor Watson; a son, Randall Wayne Watson; a daughter, Cynthia Lynn Watson; her parents, Carl and Ethel Mae Whitmire; and a number of brothers and sisters, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her children, Clark and Carolyn Watson, Benny and Sheila Watson, all of Dahlonega, Joan Watson, Henry Watson, both of Cumming, Robin Watson of Gainesville, John Paul and Camilla Watson of Dawsonville; 20 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; sister, Betty Mae Bruce of Panama City, Fla.; sister-in-law, Lena Watson of Gainesville; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Aug. 21 at Silver Shoals Baptist Church with the Revs. Greg Rollins, John Paul Watson, Eric Watson and Clark Watson officiating.

Interment followed at Memorial Park Cemetery in Gainesville.

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
