Mildred Crane, 85, of Dawsonville, died Sept. 16, 2016.

Born Oct. 24, 1930 to the late Joe and Bethie Strickland, she lived most of her life in Dawson County.

A homemaker at her death, she worked at the Corner Café for more than 20 years. She enjoyed gardening, baking strawberry cakes and loved spending time with her family.

Mildred was of the Baptist faith.

Her husband of 60 years, Billy Crane; five sisters and two brothers, preceded her in death.

A special thanks goes to her caregivers, Mae Powell, Terri Reece and Deana Lingerfelt.

Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Marcus and Lynda Crane of Dawsonville; grandchildren, Mark and Amanda Crane, Ashley and Johnny Trammell, all of Dawsonville; great-grandchildren, Breanna Crane, Braden Crane, Isabella Trammell, Tanner Trammell; special sister-in-law, Monnie Chester; special friend, Jewell Reeves; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 3 p.m. Sept. 18 in the Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Brody Hughes officiating. Interment followed in the Mill Creek Baptist Church Cemetery.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
