Michele Keller Chesnut of Cumming died March 15, 2013.

Michele graduated from Grissom High School in Huntsville, Ala., and obtained her pharmacy degree from Auburn University in 1982.

She married Jim Chesnut in 1983 and moved to Cumming.

She has been a member of the Cumming First United Methodist Church for the past 25 years. She was an active member of the church focusing her efforts at the food pantry.

She participated with "Meals on Wheels," the Methodist Women's Club, the American Cancer Society and random acts of kindness and love to others.

She worked for Walmart Pharmacy for more than 23 years and previously worked as a pharmacist at Goodson Drugs in Cumming.

She loved spending time with her family and all types of outdoor activities including hiking, boating, travel, her dogs Moe, Oz and Huck and cycling.

Her parents, Fred and Gloria Keller of Coos Bay, Ore., preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband of nearly 30 years, Jim Chesnut; four children, Adrienne, Alexander, Alivia and James; two sisters, Anne Keller and Diana Weekly, both of Cumming; two brothers, Steve Martinez of Myrtle Point, Ore., David Keller of Salisbury, Md.; along with nieces, Devon Moose of Boston, Mass., Shauna Gomez, Taylor Chesnut, Cayden Chesnut, Sarah Chesnut, all of Cumming; nephews, Johnson Keller and John Weekly, both of Cumming; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Alex and Regina Chesnut of Big Canoe; brother-in-law, Brad Chesnut of Cumming; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. March 19, at the Cumming First United Methodist Church.

McDonald and Son Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
