Michael Lynn Bruce, 29, of Dawsonville, died Dec. 12, 2016.

Born Feb. 19, 1987, Michael was a 2005 graduate of North Forsyth High School and was employed as the kitchen manager at Wild Wings Café in Gainesville.

He enjoyed music, skateboarding, cooking and had aspirations of becoming a chef.

Survivors include his wife, Corbin Alexis Bruce; parents, Phillip and Rita Bruce of Dawsonville; sister and brother-in-law, Amber and Abraham Nissen of Dawsonville; brother and sister-in-law, Cory and Amanda Hart of Dawsonville; grandparents, Hoyt and Mary Bruce of Dawsonville, Jimmy and Peggy Hudgins of Gainesville; mother-in-law, Billie Williams, and her husband, Michael, of Lawrenceville; father-in-law, Calvin Gist of Charlotte, N.C.; sister-in-law, Mackenzie Williams of Lawrenceville; grandmother-in-law, Barbara "Granny" Johnson of Pageland, S.C.; various other relatives also survive.

Memorial services were held at 7 p.m. Dec. 15 at the Set Free Church of Dawsonville with the Pastor Marty Dunkerly and Associate Pastor Sandy Reece officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations were requested made to the funeral home to assist with final expenses or to the Set Free Church of Dawsonville, P.O. Box 663, Dawsonville, GA 30534.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
