Maxine Ralston, 79, of Dahlonega, died Jan. 16, 2016.
A lifelong resident of Dawson and Lumpkin counties, she was a homemaker who was devoted to her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
She was of the Baptist faith and a member of Siloam Baptist Church.
Her parents, Ervin McKinley and Ruby Augusta Whitey Long; husband, J.D. Ralston; son, John Dudley Ralston; brother, C.J. Long; and twin sisters, Kate and Carol Long, preceded her in death.
Survivors include her daughters, Nancy and Jimmy Hood of Dahlonega, Patsy and Bobby Holland, Debbie and James Berry, all of Gainesville, Betsy and Jimmy Mills of Jenkinsburg; son, Jay "Tony" and Crystal Ralston of Dahlonega; daughter-in-law, Robin Ralston of Dahlonega; grandchildren, Brian Hood, Jasper Berry, Amy and J.L. Starks, April and Casey Trammell, Michelle and Wayne McKinney, John and Stacey Ralston; great-grandchildren, Juliet Banks, Summer Ralston, Elaina Jett, Luke, Caleb and Ella McKinney, Kaylee Grace and Emily Trammell; nieces and nephews, Rhonda, Renee, Jeffrey and Johnny Mealor; special sister-in-law, Martha Taylor; various other relatives also survive.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Jan. 19 in the Banister Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. J.R. Fields, Wayne McKinney and the Brother Blake Grizzle officiating. Interment followed at Mill Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Dawsonville.
Banister Funeral Home of Dahlonega was in charge of the arrangements.
