Mary Wright Goodson, 89, of Cumming, died Wednesday, Sept. 30, 2009.

Her husband, Jim Goodson; son, Lee Patterson Goodson; and grandson, Phillip Dameron Goodson, Jr., preceded her in death.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy and Connie Goodson, Brinkley and Kathy Goodson, all of Cumming, Phil and Wanda Goodson, Byron and Ann Goodson, all of Dawsonville; sisters and brothers-in-law, Margie and Walker Burton of Virginia, Dot and Howard Brinkley of Texas; brothers and sisters-in-law, Tillman and Doris Mae Wright, Buddy and Betty Lou Wright, all of Virginia, Lee and Nancy Lloyd of Maryland; sister, Frances Wright; nine grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; various other relatives also survive.

A funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 2 in the Ingram Funeral Home Chapel with the Pastor Don Allen officiating. Interment followed at Sawnee View Memorial Gardens.

Ingram Funeral Home and Crematory of Cumming was in charge of the arrangements.
