Mary Lou Davenport, 64, of Dawsonville, died May 25, 2015.

Born July 18, 1950 in Lumpkin County, to the late Claud and Vernell Davis, she lived most of her life in Dawson County.

A homemaker at her death, Mary Lou was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.

Her brothers, Grady Davis, Bazel Davis and David Davis, preceded her in death.

Survivors include her companion, best friend and caregiver, Harold Davenport of Dawsonville; sons and daughters-in-law, Randy and Julie Davenport, Travis and Pam Davenport, all of Dawsonville; grandchildren, Karleigh Davenport, Trenton Davenport, Casen Davenport, Addison Davenport; sister, Sylvia Cagle of Dahlonega; brothers and sisters-in-law, Delton and Sherri Davis, Marvin and Ruthie Davis, Melvin Davis, all of Dahlonega; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 4 p.m. May 27 at Antioch Baptist Church with the Revs. Larry Stover and Ronnie Sosebee officiating. Interment followed in the church cemetery.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
