Mary Jo Fortune Kinney, 48, of Dawsonville, died July 15, 2014.

Born Jan. 10, 1966 in Atlanta, she had recently moved to Lumpkin County from Ball Ground.

Mrs. Kinney was a network manager for AT&T with 30 years of service. Mary Jo and her family were members of Grace Presbyterian Church in Dawsonville. She will never be forgotten by those who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her husband, John Kinney of Dawsonville; son, Foster Kinney of Dawsonville; parents, Joe and Gail Fortune of Dawsonville; sisters and brother-in-law, Beth Fortune Young of Gainesville, Amy and Mark Lowe of Evansville, Ind.; various other relatives also survive.

Memorial services were held at 11 a.m. July 17 at Grace Presbyterian Church with the Rev. David Jordan officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations were requested made to the Mary Jo Kinney Memorial Fund for Foster Kinney, c/o SunTrust Bank, 24 Dawson Village Way South, Dawsonville, GA 30534.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
