Mary Epps, 77, of Cumming, died Friday, Jan. 23, 2009 at Cumming Nursing Center following a period of declining health.

Born in Fulton County, she had lived in Cumming since 1986 having moved from Duluth. A homemaker, she was preceded in death by her husband, Duke Epps; parents, Marion and Minnie Roland and two sisters.

Survivors include her children, Brenda and Ron Delk of Dahlonega, Pam and Karl Hamalainen, Betty Jo O'Bryant, all of Dawsonville, Denese and Darrell Abbott of Pensacola, Fla., Ruth and Gus Olson of Cumming, Johnny and Janie Morris of Carlton; sister, Sarah Hall of Carson City, Nev.; brothers, James Roland of Florida, Horace Roland of Monticello; 16 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; various other relatives also survive.

Memorial services were 4 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 25 at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. David Edmondson officiating.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
