Martha Pope, 62, of Dawsonville, died Dec. 27, 2010.

 

Born May 23, 1948 in Forsyth County to the late Ford and Rosie Lee Holtzclaw, she had lived in Dawson County for the past 22 years.

 

A homemaker at her death, for many years she and her husband owned and operated a drywall business. She attended Nelson Congregational Holiness Church and was also preceded in death by a sister, Lillie Rebeccah Holtzclaw.

 

Survivors include her husband of 46 years, Larry Pope of Dawsonville; children, Tommy and Anita Pope of Warsaw, Fla., Donna and Tim Sanders, Connie and Preston Collett, Tequila Martinez, Jay Pope, Jeff Pope, Eric Pope, Christina Pope, all of Dawsonville, Delane and Jimmy Andrews of Canton; sister, Betty Castleberry of Canton; brothers and sister-in-law, Dennis Holtzclaw of Jacksonville, Fla., Jimmy and Pamela Holtzclaw of Cumming; 11 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; various other relatives also survive.

 

Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Dec. 30 at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel with the Revs. Thomas Rudasill and Tony Holtzclaw officiating.

 

Interment will follow in Macedonia Memorial Gardens.

 

The family will receive friends after 3:30 p.m. Wednesday.
