Martha Mezick, 75, of Dawsonville, died Aug. 9, 2011.

Born Dec. 2, 1935 in Rabun County to the late Wesley and Lola Stubblefield, she lived in Dawson County for more than 35 years, having moved from Austell.

Mrs. Mezick was a homemaker and a member of Grace and Truth Church.

Two brothers and a sister preceded her in death.

Survivors include her husband of 35 years, Wiley Mezick of Dawsonville; children, Linda Layson of Forest Park, Carl Ramey, Mark Ramey, both of Toccoa, Ernie Ramey, Kelly Mezick, both of Dawsonville, Christy Fraley of Dahlonega; 25 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; various other relatives also survive.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Aug. 13 at Grace and Truth Church with the Revs. Jimmy and Linda Manders officiating. Interment followed in Dawsonville Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, donations were requested made to Mr. Mezick to assist with cemetery expenses.

Bearden Funeral Home of Dawsonville was in charge of the arrangements.
